The City of Spellrest

Spellrest is a city located on Lake Spelldrift, in the country of Quel'lona, and is ruled by Queen Auroriel Starweaver. The city is well-known for its commerce and trade, with a bustling floating market that offers a wide variety of goods and services. As one of the wealthiest cities on the continent of Tirgatha, Spellrest attracts merchants and traders from all over the world. It is famous for its luxury goods, including precious gemstones and fine metals, enchanted artifacts, and rare magical herbs.

The city is divided into several districts, each with its own unique character and charm. The Elder Faerie District, which was destroyed during the troll invasion, has been rebuilt and many residents of Spellrest believe the area is cursed. Some say strange things happen there at night, while others claim they have seen ghostly apparitions walking among the ruins of the old faerie grounds. Despite these rumors, the garden in the district is still a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, who come to admire its beauty and somewhat eerie tranquility.

The city is also known for its advanced magical technologies, including The Lúthien Arda palace, which can magically expand and contract to accommodate guests, and the shipyard, Llewdor's Reach, which produces magnificent seafaring vessels. Visitors can enjoy fine dining at the elegant Enchanted Bloom restaurant, dance the night away at the Dancing Ivy Pavilion overlooking the city, or visit the great library that contains vast amounts of knowledge about the history and magic of Tirgatha. The library is run by a group of wise sages and scholars who are known to provide advice and guidance to those who seek it.

In addition to the library, Spellrest runs the notable Academy of the Arcane. The academy is where young aspiring wizards and sorcerers come to learn and hone their skills in the magical arts. The academy is renowned for its rigorous and challenging curriculum, and talented faculty, which includes very powerful mages. Only the most talented and dedicated students are accepted.

Spellrest is home to several noble houses and great merchant houses, each vying for power and influence in the city. The ruling council of the city, known as the Spellweavers, consists of representatives from these houses and is responsible for governing and protecting Spellrest.
