A roleplay transcript by Malekith and Etain:

"This is a special necklace, just for you." he added. Bringing his hand around her neck as he placed it on her and then sealed it at the back, there was a slight warmth that radiated from the connection as the necklace was sealed, no longer having a connection to be removed. He gave it a gentle tug and then withdrew. "Forever with you, as you will be to me." Malekith Helerodis pulled back then reached down and helped her out of the water.

Etain Moonflower gingerly placed her fingertips along the strands of pearls and beadwork, discovering them with her fingers. "It's so lovely, truly. A beautiful gift, Malekith," she said as she gazed at him fondly. The nymph queen was accustomed to receiving gifts, but this was memorable as it came from her object of desire. She felt the warmth at the back of her neck and wondered briefly if the jewelry contained special protective magics of some sort. "I will wear it often," she said as he helped her stand. "And yes, of course, I am yours and you are mine," she said hopefully and moved to wrap her arms about his neck.

Malekith Helerodis lifted her up and could not help but admire her beauty again. She absolutely glowed... and he would do anything to keep her as his own. "Of course... I would do anything for you." he moved with her into the chambers, hearing her words he could only smile. " Yes, you will," referring to her comment of wearing the necklace often. Once inside the room he moved to the side and began to remove his clothes, placing them to the side so they would stay clean. It was clear to her that he had also changed when away as the new clothes were not dirty from the events of the other day. Once he had been fully disrobed he turned to her and waited.

Etain Moonflower felt a high she had sought after for ages. He had invaded her dreams many times over the years, but at last he was here with her now in the flesh. All was as it should be, in her mind. She watched him undress once they entered the room, her eyes taking in every inch of him. Her heart swelled. "Lie down and I will massage you until you fall asleep. You will feel like your old self very soon."

Malekith Helerodis nodded his head with her instruction and did so, moving to the bed of flowers and laying down where they had been the night before. He watched her as he rested a hand on his chest, eyes completely locked on her, admiring her beauty. "I will claim every part of you. My sweet Etain... tell me that you are mine."

"I am yours," she said throatily and closed her eyes, moving her hands over tense muscles. He had risked much to protect Ansa`fel and Moonflower Hollow, and she would nurse him back to health. In her own time.

Malekith Helerodis had just returned back into the bed chamber of Etain. He used the wall as a brace, feeling weak after using his magic again to reinforce the ice barrier that was still up, protecting the Hollow from the intense sun. He noted that the ice was melting a tad faster but it was still nothing to worry about. He had taken a moment at the time to look up at the sun, at first he didn't really have much to think about, but then as he thought about it more and more, he couldn't help himself but feel he had something to do, but his mind was fogged. Now, inside Etain's chambers, he moved back to the bed and sat down in the flowers, a blank stare on his face as he tried to recall things that happened before coming here. Why was he here? How long had it been, and what was he supposed to be doing now? He then remembered the ball... a joyous occasion and the attack, the destruction. He remembered then why he was here, and he knew then he had to go. He stood up from the flowers and called for the Nymphs to bring his clothes back. "I must go now, there's much to be done."

Excitement shone in Etain's eyes as she returned to her chambers to find Malekith sitting up. She moved toward him, as quickly as her legs would take her, and threw her arms about him, embracing him tightly. "I've a surprise for you," she said, and was at once interrupted by the nymphs piling into her chambers with the king's belongings. The job would have only required one nymph, but they were all clearly infatuated with the high elf and wanted to make a favorable impression. Etain's eyes shone like hard marbles as they dropped to the folded clothing in their hands. "I didn't ask for you to bring his things," she said, turning from her sisters to cast an accusatory eye on Malekith. "Did you summon for them?" Her lips moved into a fine line, clearly vexed that he would do such a thing. "You still need to rest. You cannot go anywhere just yet."

Malekith Helerodis accepted her embrace when she entered the room but it was clear something was on his mind. "Etain..." he replied and then looked up to see the nymphs enter with his things, a little surprised but it worked either way. "I must be going, the city is in danger and I cannot be here any longer. I have wasted much time already." he was already putting his clothing back on while he spoke to her, grabbing at what ever was nearest and just tossing it on without even buttoning himself up. " I.. don't know what got over me. I should never have stayed this long." He looked to her. " I appreciate you looking after me though..."

Etain Moonflower went pale, and she slowly stood, her gaze never leaving him as he dressed. "That is all I get. Your words of appreciation." If he turned to look at her, he would see she quickly replaced her expression of annoyance with a detached smile. "Very well, Malekith, I am happy I could help you." Her heart burned. Tears, which threatened to appear, caused her eyes to swim as she turned away and gazed into the tall mirror, watching her reflection. "Go if you must. I understand."

Malekith Helerodis had stopped what he had been doing and watched the Nymph with a curious look. "That's all?" he stood up from the bed of flowers and approached her from behind. "Has this not been enough? Our time together? Do you think it's over because I must go now, to tend to my kingdom, my people?" he eyed her suspiciously. "You wouldn't have had anything to do with my head fog, would you?" He had come fully to his senses again, things were becoming clear to him and he did recognize now that something was not right with him.

Her lips parted as if in disbelief as her eyes darted up to look at him over her shoulder in the mirrored glass. "I am as responsible for that as I am the giant sweltering star that hovers in the sky above and threatens to destroy my sisters and me." She paused and whipped her gaze back to her nearly naked form. She wore only her mantle of gilded long stemmed roses, the necklace he had given her, and a crown of philadelphuses on top her golden tresses. Her eyes traveled over the yards of pearls and multi-faceted beadwork ornately held together with fine gold metal at her throat. "You should take your leave. Go," she said at length.
