Well met!

She graced the merchant with a smile as she stepped into her tiny shop. It was filled with crystals. She chose one that was large, one small, and a very tiny crystal for her upcoming recipes. "These will do nicely. How much for today," she asked the woman, knowing their prices changed from day to day. (Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur)

Aeren made her way down the central avenue of the market, squinting at the ever changing lights and caustics bouncing off the walls. Each vendor trying more than the next to grab her attention and score a sell. Her bronze Fae Lizard darted through eaves above, his sharp chittering following her along. Her eyes settled on the form of a fae to her right.

She placed the coin into the shopkeeper's hand, thanking her before stepping out of the booth. Her eyes traveled over the shops. She knew she needed spices next and, perhaps, some of the more common wildflowers that could not be found in Moon Willow forest. The faerie clutched the crystals in her hand as she made her way toward the spice merchant and gave the elven creature nearest her a friendly smile. "Good day to you," she softly said as she closed the distance between them. (Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur)

Aeren smiled with her mouth closed. She examined the fae, the sight having now jolted her out of her absentminded wandering. She had no particular need to be at the market, but had found herself browsing before even realizing. The aroma of the fae was lovely, and seemed to cascade upon Aeren with each beat of the fae's wings. She was drawn to strike up a conversation. "I've not seen you in these parts before," she mused, raising a flirtacious eyebrow toward the fae.

Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur was always open to conversation. She enjoyed learning more about people, and she took pleasure in helping them when she could. "I will admit I flit in and out of the city on most days," she said cheerfully, a smile forming. "I'm just in long enough to pick up some needed ingredients." Her gaze swept over the elf creature. "Your dress is remarkable. It looks almost magical." She wanted to reach out and touch it, but she knew it would be forward of her. "You must tell me who your seamstress is."

Aeren clicked her tongue, smiling. "I'm afraid she might be difficult for you to find, unless those wings will carry you to the bottom of the bay." She titled her head coyly. "But all things can be made accessible… at the right price." Aeren ruffled her dress roughly, water shaking from the folds of fabric. "I'm surprised to not have seen someone so …bright …as you before. Perhaps I'm not visiting the right places." As she finished her sentence, the bronze Fae Lizard dived from the eaves above and landed on Aeren's shoulder. "My name's Aeren…nice to meet you."

Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur chuckled, genuinely amused. She wasn't always one for fashion. Many of the gowns proved to be only a hindrance in her flight and so the faerie's wardrobe did not consist of much - only short fabrics that were lightweight and airy. The gown the elf wore truly appealed to her though. The fabric was unlike any she had seen before. Yssie found her eyes drawn there time and again as they spoke. Long, thick lashes fluttered quickly as the woman spoke of promises that surely were some type of scheme to play on the gullible.

As she shook away droplets of water, Yssie gave a small tilt of her head trying to take everything in. Ahh, so she was a sea creature. Some type of elven aquatic. She was lovely. A siren, perhaps? Here to lure in those weak and longing for adventure, or more? "Ysorrowen," she said almost absently. "It's a pleasure," the fae quietly added as she stepped closer still. "I've seen the potions they have for sell here boasting of unlimited water breathing. Are you the merchant behind such a potion?" Ysorrowen nearly gave a start as the lovely fae lizard landed on the aquatic elf's shoulder.

Aeren scoffed, though not at Ysorrowen's words, rather the mention of the potions. "'Unlimited'…bah. Parlor tricks and empty promises, my dear." She clicked her tongue twice and the Fae Lizard adjusted itself, wrapping it's tail intently around Aeren's neck. "Be careful in trusting what you find in the market…or you may find yourself sinking rather than swimming." She skimmed the nearby booths, locking eyes with one of the vendors nearby. "I would make my way to the wizard's school, if you truly want a potion with… results. Best to guide yourself with a true source, if you catch my meaning." She inched closer to Ysorrowen. "I am a merchant of sorts, but perhaps a discussion when we gain familiarity…" She winked at the fae, mischievously.

Her smiled deepened as Aeren seemed to set herself apart from the rest. She gave a nod in agreeance, "I've never been one who was interested in exploring the water's depths as I always associated them to be… rather dangerous." Her lips parted showing even, white teeth behind the smile. "Other magick has never interested me, to be honest. I have learned basics to combat with healing, but mostly I consult those who have specific expertise in those magicks." The faerie was well-versed in fae magic as it related to healing. She was very skilled, even to the point where she could craft her own recipes, which she enjoyed doing very much. (Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur)

Her brows shot up at Aeren's words. She was most definitely intrigued. "Do you deal with magick too? And if so, I imagine it would be aquatic in nature?" (Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur)

Aeren "Healing magick you say?" she turned her head to the Fae. "A very good skill to have, I would imagine. Perhaps you are a good ally to keep close…" She smiled and scratched the Fae Lizard under his chin. He purred deeply in response. "I don't practice myself, no, but I do have an affinity towards Fae magick…or perhaps it to I." She leaned her head against the Fae Lizard and could feel the vibrations coming from his chest. "I believe it is what brought my little friend to me." She gazed at Ysorrowen's wings, squinting to try and better view the iridescence against the lights of the market. "…and have you found your teachers in Ansa`fel? I know the High Wizard or his acolytes would certainly take on a pupil of skill."

Her eyes warmed as she watched Aeren with her fae pet. "It takes a very special being to have made such a very rare fae friend, indeed." Her eyes lingered a moment on the lizard before she turned back to Aeren's lovely face. She seemed to momentarily forget that she still needed spices and wildflowers. "Would you mind walking with me? It's grown terribly loud in here. Perhaps we could get a bit of tea and walk out to the docks? You have piqued my interest, and I have all sorts of questions for you if you would humor me." (Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur)

Aeren smiled and nodded in agreance. "Of course. If you stand still in this market for too long, your pockets will be infinitely lighter before you even realize…" Aeren led the way out of the Western market entrance, her eyes set on the nearby cafe.

Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur laughed softly, nodding as they turned toward the cafe. She saw two familiar faces, extended her smile, and then ordered a rose tea for Aeren and herself. She led her new friend toward the docks.

Aeren made her way passed the cafe, scanning the duo settled at a nearby table. She smiled absentmindedly as passed. The bronze Fae Lizard clucked at the duo as if to make itself known.

Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur cradled the teacup in one hand as she accepted the ferry master's hand with the other. Both women climbed on board. "So tell me," she said as she gingerly sipped at her tea. "What business are you in? You have me most intrigued."

Aeren sipped her tea, taking her time to enjoy the flavor it offered. She rarely rode the ferry, perhaps due to her familiarity with the waterways, but mostly because the frequent stops only slowed her travels down. 'Easier to swim,' she mused to herself. "Hmm what type of business am I in…" Aeren had to identify an answer for herself. "A bit of this, a bit of that….whatever interests me that comes my way. I was raised in this bay and there is never a lack of …excitement." She gestured to the center of bay. "Particularly when there are worlds beneath and above to involve oneself in." She smiled and took another sip of tea. "And you, Ysorrowen? Maladies and salves, I presume?" She grinned, hoping to learn more of her new found friend.

Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur had turned in her seat slightly so she could watch her traveling companion as she spoke. She nodded in earnest. "I see," she said though she didn't, not truly. "I wish I could learn more about your world without ever having to visit it." She blinked and lifted the cup to full lips as she took in the wonderful fragrance of rose. "Yes, quite possibly boring to you, I am sure." She supped of her tea and then lowered the cup. "But I enjoy helping others. Especially those truly in need. It's easy to make friends, I suppose, and to indirectly change the dynamic of a relationship with those that might wish to hurt you otherwise." She took another swallow of the herbal liquid, her gaze now exploring the waterway. "I think the most enjoyment comes from writing my own spells though."

Aeren nodded "Spell writing is a field of it's own, I would imagine." She took another sip of tea, turning to Ysorrowen. "I've not attended any lectures of the Mage's school…but I can only imagine." Aeren was enjoying their ferry ride, it was seldom that she relaxed alongside friends, and this was a welcomed change of pace. "Surely we could find an opportunity to have you explore the bay, we only need address the right individuals. You'll find you can always ultimately meet your needs…if you ask the right questions." She grinned, mischievously as the ferry ducked beneath a fall. The cool mist felt good against her skin. "Have you been in these parts for long, Ysorrowen?"

She nodded again, thoughtfully, "I suppose you are correct," she said but offered no more on the subject. Where Ysorrowen was thoughtful, mindful, and open to others, she did have a hard time trusting them fully. She cleared her throat. "I have lived here for a few years. Well, in Tirgatha, rather. Moon Willow Forest? Are you familiar with it? I'm from Astratti, originally." (Ysorrowen Vir`Fleur)
